Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
Catholic Charities WV is working with the West Virginia Alliance for Sustainable Families (WVASF) in hosting several of the IRS sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) sites in the state. Certified community volunteers are trained to help clients with their tax returns.
Services Offered
- Prepare basic tax returns.
- Assist with special credits (Earned Income Tax Credit, the Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly and Disabled).
Counties Served
Berkeley, Hampshire, Webster
Eligibility
People who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
