The number of West Virginians living in poverty is an unacceptable reality that inspires us to action. With your support, we can make a difference. Together, we can transform the lives of those who are struggling to survive, and enable them to thrive.
Migration and Refugee Services’ goal is to enable the refugee to attain early self-sufficiency. Catholic Charities West Virginia staff and volunteers provide resettlement services to newly arrived refugees.
An individual or community group such as a parish, church society or civic organization may act as a sponsor. The group approach seems to work best in assimilating the new family into the adoptive community.
If you or your parish or community group are interested in learning more abut sponsorship, call our Resettlement Director, Kim Keene, at (304) 343-1036.

It is the purpose of each Regional Advisory Council to assist the CCWVa Board of Directors in furthering the mission of CCWVa within its specific regional area. Regional Advisory Councils will fulfill this purpose by accepting responsibility for the following activities:

• Support regional staff and assist the well being of CCWVa local programs by advising the Regional Director and/or the specialized program staff representative on the Regional Advisory Council.
• Assess regional community and CCWVa program needs and make recommendations to the CCWVa Board of Directors regarding program development.
• Review financial reports and monitor the financial well being of each respective regional office.
• Assist with revenue development through participation in fundraising activities.
• Recruit committed volunteer, church, community and professional leaders to serve on the Regional Advisory Council and to review and assist in carrying out the activities of the agency.
